Kai, Zoe and I were down at our local lake yesterday. Despite the fact that most of the snow has melted there's still ice on the lake. Look Daddy, it's thick enough for me to walk on! commented Kai, giving me a minor heart attack!
A lady walked past and commented: Look it's a "sädesärla" The first of spring!
Yeah, whatever! I replied deeply embarassed that I didn't the English name.
