The Hobbit hobbles forward.
There are no pictures and Kai was pestering me about what a goblin looks like. In desperation,I picked up the nearest thing to hand, this morning's DN, and showed him a photo of Keith Richards.
He seemed very satisfied, if a tad incredulous that they looked so terrifying!
Was pondering the fact that so far Bilbo and pals have not run into any buxom, bikini-clad, sword-wielding, battle babes (standard issue for fantasy books, I thought) when I realised that The Hobbit was published in 1937, before that particular garment made an appearance.
