I had a mini-crisis yesterday. I wanted to go a parent teacher meeting at Kai's school to hear about who his new teacher would be and I couldn't find a babysitter anywhere. At the eleventh hour, Danne, Helena, Simon and Vendela kindly stepped into the breach resulting in a very good time being had by all.
Kai disappeared with Vendela to play in the enormous inner courtyard that they have at the back of the house and Zoe opened every cupboard in the flat and emptied its contents. As can be be seen from the photos, their balcony, with its view of the rooftops of Södermalm is to die for. My batteries felt seriously recharged after our visit there.
I'm managing fairly well but am extremely grateful to all the friends here who've been so kind and hospitable during the last few weeks. It's made a world of difference.
